Hiizzy is a dynamic digital property marketplace that empowers homeowners to sell their properties independently, eliminating the need for traditional estate agents and their hefty fees.

The Challenge

Hiizzy had developed a promising concept for a property marketplace that bypassed estate agents, but they needed a comprehensive digital marketing strategy to ensure commercial success. Two key challenges emerged: the cold start problem and creating a network effect.

The cold start problem involved attracting both buyers and sellers to the platform from scratch. Without an initial user base of sellers, buyers wouldn’t engage—and without buyers, sellers would lose interest. Hiizzy needed a strategy that ensured a positive user experience right from the start to avoid failure. To address this, a soft launch was recommended, coupled with short- and long-term incentives for early adopters and their referrals, warming the platform before the official launch.

The second challenge was the network effect, which is crucial for sustained growth. Hiizzy needed a strategy that encouraged viral growth through user referrals and repeat engagement. Tactics like remarketing, leveraging first-party data, email marketing, and a robust referral program were recommended to foster this network effectively and drive momentum for both buyers and sellers.

The goal was to drive 20 property listings on the website in the first three months of launch.

The Solution

Recognising Hiizzy’s specific needs, we devised a strategy centred around solving the cold start problem by ensuring product/market fit. This involved a soft launch with targeted incentives to attract early adopters and referrers, laying the groundwork for network growth. While a robust referral program was recommended, the client opted for other approaches at launch.

We also created a detailed three-year forecast based on opportunity analysis across multiple digital channels. This provided Hiizzy with a clear roadmap for when they could expect to break even and begin generating profits.

Key Strategies Implemented: 

  • Organic Search (SEO): We optimised Hiizzy’s website to improve search rankings and attract both buyers and sellers organically. This involved keyword optimisation, technical SEO improvements, and creating content that resonated with their target audience.
  • Paid Search (PPC): Targeted Google Ads campaigns were developed to capture immediate interest, driving both property listings and viewings. These campaigns were optimised for high-intent keywords related to buying and selling properties.
  • Paid Social: We used highly targeted paid social ads on popular platforms like Facebook and Instagram to rapidly build brand awareness and drive relevant, engaged traffic to Hiizzy’s site. These engaging and compelling ads were designed to capture the attention of both potential property buyers and sellers, creating a strong connection with Hiizzy’s dynamic and innovative marketplace.

By implementing this robust strategy, Hiizzy was well-positioned to meet its initial target of 20 property listings while setting the stage for long-term growth and sustainability in the competitive real estate marketplace.

The Results

Our strategic approach to Hiizzy’s digital marketing and the implemented we activities proved to be highly effective, surpassing the initial goal. Within the first three months of activity, the platform successfully secured 23 property listings—exceeding the target .
