About the brand

Toast are a high end, niche fashion retailer and part of the French Connection group. They approached Elixirr Digital for support with their display marketing.

Making a success out of Toast’s display activity presented a multi-faceted challenge. Central to the challenge was the need to reach new customers and drive revenue.

This needed to be done while adhering to a strict set of brand guidelines and sense of style, while also responding to seasonal trends – both in terms of fashion and traffic.

Finally, Toast had a complex reporting structure that made assessing the results of their marketing difficult. From our perspective, tackling this issue was key to making the account run smoothly.

Display that delivers

Our approach to display for Toast was based around using programmatic display. This involved reaching out to potential customer across a range of high end websites, where the Toast target audience would be found.

We also used tags on their website to build a behavioural profile of converting users – this allowed us to target similar users with display banners. Alongside this, we also used remarketing to target customers that had either abandoned a basket, or had made a purchase in the past but not returned.

Steps were also taken to simplify the reporting process, making it quicker and easier for Toast to get the information they needed about their advertising campaigns. This also allowed us to be more efficient and deliver better results.

  • Display prospecting reached 2.3 million people per month, with a 71% increase in the conversion rate across the site
